Very recently YouTube made an engineering modification to their service which changed access to their video. This caused the active-TV TV-web page for YouTube to stop working. We have determined a fix and included it in the new youtube_beta_18.zip file available from this blogsite.

New survey shows Internet voice services topping list of industries that are defying the recession. With a projected revenue growth of 20.1 percent, VOIP services easily outdistances e-commernce and online auctions.

The ITV Sport website seems to have had a bit of a facelift, and with it a move to proper Flash video. Thats good news for us, for a couple of reasons. One, the embedded video player they used to use just resulted in us getting a Directshow error. But the more interesting Two is: theyre using it for some pretty interesting things. Like doing something with their archive, instead of just stomping around YouTube insisting archive clips from the network are removed.

Nortel and Siemens are unveiling new software and services designed to make it easier and more affordable for enterprises to buy and deploy unified communications platforms. Nortels CS 1000 Release 6.0 includes greater integration of communications technology into a business network. Siemens not only rolled out its OpenScape UC Application, but also a services program aimed at easing the deployment and integration of the UC platform. Siemens also launched OpenScape Xpressions, an out-of-the-box UC platform.
